Info
On April 15, 2027, Carsie Blanton brings her songs to Empire Music Hall in Belfast for a set built around sharp storytelling and a strong sense of rhythm. Raised in Virginia and shaped by years between Oregon, Philadelphia and New Orleans, she writes in that North American songwriter tradition where the lyrics lead the way: irony, social observation, and characters you can picture in a second.
Her music slips easily between folk, rock, light jazz touches, cabaret swing and a soul-inflected pulse, without ever losing its direct, melodic core. Over the years, her sound has grown from early self-produced records into something more collective on stage, with arrangements that leave space for the voice while letting drums, bass, guitar and fiddle drive the momentum. Expect songs drawn from her recent run of releases, from Love & Rage and Body of Work through After the Revolution and The Red Album, Volume 1, with that mix of indie pop energy and contemporary protest-song bite.
