Info
Richard Hawley comes home to Sheffield for a show at Sheffield City Hall on December 17, 2026, bringing that unmistakable mix of Sheffield-rooted songwriting and classic pop craft he’s been refining since the early 2000s. His solo work moves easily between orchestral pop, rockabilly bite and late-night crooner ballads, with clean guitar lines and arrangements that feel hushed but never empty. It’s the kind of set where 50s and 60s influences sit naturally next to a more modern, textured sound, built for big rooms without losing the intimacy.
Expect a tour through key chapters of his catalogue, from the city-lit mood of Coles Corner and the sweep of Lady’s Bridge to later turns like Standing at the Sky’s Edge, plus space for his more recent writing. After years of playing with bands like Longpigs and working alongside artists from Pulp to Arctic Monkeys, Hawley’s live shows land as focused, melodic and deeply tied to place.
