Info
On February 12, 2027, Giant Rooks land at KOKO in London with the kind of set that sits right between indie rock drive and modern pop reflexes. Born in Hamm in the mid-2010s, the band built its identity around Frederik Rabe’s voice and Finn Schwieters’ guitars, shaping English-language songs that move fast, hit clean, then slip into more spacious, atmospheric moments.
Their early EPs The Times Are Bursting the Lines and New Estate helped define a punchy, alternative foundation, later sharpened on Wild Stare, where tight rhythms and catchy vocal lines meet more detailed arrangements. Live, that balance really pays off: direct choruses, band energy, and those mood shifts that keep things dynamic without overdoing it. With Rookery and the more recent How Have You Been?, Giant Rooks have kept widening the palette with subtle electronic and art-pop touches, while staying focused on songcraft. Expect a show that’s built for singing along, but still leaves room to breathe.
