Big Country come back to where it started for a special stop in Dunfermline, playing P J Molloy & Sons on 17 December 2026 as part of The Seer 40th Anniversary Tour. Released in 1986, The Seer is a key chapter in the band’s story: widescreen alt-rock built on that instantly recognisable, bagpipe-like guitar tone, with room for big choruses and darker turns. Expect a set that dives into the album’s backbone tracks like “Look Away”, “The Teacher”, and the sweeping title song, played with the punch they were made for.
Still driven by co-founder and long-serving guitarist Bruce Watson, Big Country keep the focus on what made them stand out from the post-punk and new wave pack: tight, melodic playing, rock energy, and a Scottish edge that cuts through even the loudest moments. Alongside The Seer material, the night also leaves space for the classics that defined their live reputation, including “In A Big Country” and “Fields Of Fire”.
