Info
On November 22, 2026 at Bo’s Bar & Stage in Red Deer, For the Love of 90s Country brings a whole crew of Canadian country voices together around one simple idea: going back to the decade of big choruses, steady two-step grooves, and radio-ready hooks. Each artist on the bill taps into their own 90s favorites, then threads in a few of their own songs to keep it personal rather than pure nostalgia.
Expect a set led by Carolyn Dawn Johnson alongside Brad Mates (Emerson Drive), plus Bobby Wills, Duane Steele, Morgan Klaiber, and Julia Vos, trading anthems and deep cuts with that shared love of classic country songwriting.
With Brad Mates at the center, the Emerson Drive side of the night should lean into the band’s signature blend of clean guitars, pop-leaning refrains, and tight rhythm, a sound they’ve honed since their late-90s jump from Alberta to the Nashville circuit. The result is a tribute night that plays like a mixtape you can actually dance to, built for singalongs and boots-on-the-floor energy.
