Info
Syd Matters finally returns to the stage with a new chapter: A gospel of some sort, his fifth album released in September 2026, and a European tour that once again highlights Jonathan Morali's universe. Since End & Start Again, released in 2003, his soft, inhabited voice and his distinctive melodies have established a signature that is instantly recognizable, somewhere between intimate folk and pop with carefully refined arrangements. In this spirit, tracks such as Black & White Eyes, Obstacles, or To All Of You have anchored Syd Matters in a generation of bands that reconciled songwriting and atmosphere, with a taste for discreet thrills.
On April 16, 2027, at Salle Jean Carmet in Allonnes, the concert promises to bridge these now-familiar songs with new compositions, in a format where acoustic delicacy can tilt toward more expansive moments. In recent years, Morali has also fed his music elsewhere, writing for image and notably Life Is Strange: a detour that still colors his pieces today with narrative tension and a very cinema-like nostalgia.
