Info
On April 19, 2027, Jack Kays, with 'Jack Kays and His Band,' arrives in Berlin at Hole44, bringing exactly the mix that made him known from Cincinnati: indie rock, hip-hop, pop-punk, and emo, without letting himself be pigeonholed into a single genre. His songs live in the shift between melodic singing and rap-inflected phrasing, along with twitchy guitars and choruses that stick in your head but never feel polished.
Since the early releases from the SoundCloud scene, Kays has gradually steered his sound into the alternative rock format, with milestones such as 'Morbid Mind,' the album 'Mixed Emotions,' and a string of EPs culminating in 'Caffeine' and the newer 'Deadbeat!' releases. Live, he presents it all as a band show: direct forward push, pop-edgy edges, emo-leaning energy, and lyrics that wrestle with topics like mental health, isolation, or dependencies. Berlin won't get a slick, polished set that night, but a concert that oscillates between hook and uproar.
