Info
On February 18, 2027, Night Tempo lands at Petit Bain with his unique mix of future funk and city pop, a sound born on the Internet that recycles 80s Japanese pop into a dance-floor machine. The Korean producer and DJ has become known far beyond geek circles thanks to his viral rearrangement of Mariya Takeuchi's Plastic Love, which has become a touchstone in the renewed interest in city pop. On stage, his signature style is evident: disco, funk and boogie loops, retro textures and club energy. His Showa Groove series, launched in 2019, established him as a passionate conduit through the Showa era, with reworkings of figures such as Wink, Anri, Miki Matsubara, Junko Yagami and Kyoko Koizumi. In terms of releases, he reached a milestone with Ladies In The City, then continued to refine his universe with Neo Standard, brought to life on tour under the name The Night Tempo Show. A Paris date designed for those who love ultra-melodic pop anthems, but performed as a DJ set, between nostalgia and the present.
