Info
Agnes Obel arrives in Roubaix on September 25, 2027, at the Colisée, for a concert bathed in chiaroscuro, true to her image. A classically trained pianist based in Berlin, the Dane has shaped a chamber pop where the piano leads the dance, carried by a soft and precise voice, with layered harmonies and tight string arrangements. On stage, her pieces take on a hushed, enveloping grandeur, between intimate folk and neoclassical writing, with that subtle cinematic note that runs through her albums. From the purity of Philharmonics to the deeper textures of Aventine, through the more conceptual constructions of Citizen of Glass and the looping motifs of Myopia, she unfolds a repertoire conceived as a suite of tableaux. A sober, acoustic live performance, and very immersive, where every silence matters as much as the notes.
