Introducing the Parachute Session at Strongroom: two bands face each other in the centre of the venue, surrounded by the audience, taking turns playing their own songs with the space between left open for improvisation, jumping into each other’s sets, jamming through transitions or taking the music somewhere unexpected.
Champagne Dub bring a mix of space-dub, polyrhythms and electronics, featuring Betamax (The Comet Is Coming / Soccer96 / Coma World), Ruth Goller, Mr Noodles and Ed Briggs.
EYRIE (JPN) combine piano, synths, keytar and drums, creating a dynamic instrumental sound rooted in jazz and experimentation.
Two live sets meeting in real time. Part gig, part jam.
