Info
On March 22, 2027, King Buffalo will play Debaser Nova in Stockholm with their heavy, psychedelic rock, where stoner, space, and kraut influences blend together. The trio from Rochester, New York builds songs that move from low to mid tempo, with circular basslines, a driving, metered feel in the drums, and guitars that prefer to draw out lines rather than strike directly. Live, the trio's dynamics get plenty of room: the tension sits as much in the pauses as in the weight, and the sound shifts between earthy bluesy vibes and cosmic wanderings. Expect a set that draws from the band's broad catalog, from the hypnotic expression heard on Orion and Longing to Be the Mountain to the more compact approach around The Burden of Restlessness, Acheron, and onward toward Regenerator. An evening for those who like riffs to breathe and crescendos to take their time.
