Info
On March 29, 2027, This Is The Kit brings its shape-shifting folk-rock to The Garrison in Toronto, with Kate Stables at the center of it all. Built around her voice, guitar and banjo, the project has always kept its lineup flexible, shifting between intimate, almost solo moments and a full band feel. The songs move with a relaxed kind of precision: acoustic strings rubbing against rougher guitars, slightly crooked rhythms, and lyrics delivered in a straight, no-drama phrasing that pulls you in.
Over the years, This Is The Kit has traced a clear path from early releases like Krülle Bol and Wriggle Out the Restless to a run of records that widened the palette without losing the human scale, including Bashed Out, Moonshine Freeze, Off Off On and Careful of Your Keepers. Expect a set that sits between contemporary folk and indie rock, where quiet details matter as much as the hook.
