Sammy Rae & The Friends land in Manchester on April 25, 2027 at Albert Hall for a show built around the collective’s “get down” spirit. Led by singer-songwriter Sammy Rae (Samantha Bowers), the Brooklyn crew has been mixing jazz-pop with soul, funk, rock and a touch of folk since forming in 2016, always with that band-first feel: tight rhythm section, keys, and horns doing more than just coloring the edges.
Onstage, expect ensemble arrangements, big choral hooks, and songs that keep a clear pop backbone while leaving room for groove and improvisation. Their releases trace that balance, from The Good Life and Let’s Throw a Party to the live intensity of The If It All Goes South Tour (Live), then a step into a fuller studio picture with Something For Everybody, plus the playful detour of Songs We Wish We Wrote.
