Info
Jacaranda Records brings The Lilacs to The Rockin' Chair in Wrexham on 8 October 2026 for an intimate album launch show and signing around their new record, Keeping Up with the Joneses. Coming out of Wigan, the quartet has built its buzz the old-school way: loud rooms, tight playing, and songs made to be shouted back. Expect direct, bright guitars, big choruses, and that British live-band snap that’s earned them regular slots across the independent circuit.
Fronted by vocalist Ollie Anglesea with Sam Birchall on guitar, Dave Gomersall on drums and Matt Johnson on bass, The Lilacs lean into punchy indie rock with a pop edge. Tracks like “Vicarage Road” helped set the tone early on, and this night is about hearing that energy up close, then sticking around to get the new album signed while it’s still fresh.
