Shiny New Model lands at Cambridge Junction in Cambridge on October 10, 2026, bringing together two UK acts who like to bend rock into stranger shapes.
Squid arrive with that signature push-and-pull: tight, restless rhythms driven from the drum kit and the mic, guitars that cut then spiral into loops, and band dynamics that can switch from spoken tension to collective surges in a heartbeat. Coming off a run that’s taken them from early EPs to Warp-era albums like Bright Green Field and O Monolith, they’ve built a live set where post-punk, kraut-leaning repetition, and experimental turns sit side by side without ever settling.
TTSSFU, the solo project of Tasmin Nicole Stephens, plays the other end of the spectrum: shoegaze haze, dream-pop melodies, and lo-fi indie rock grit. Expect blurred guitar textures, airy vocals, and songs that keep things intimate while still hitting with a direct, slacker edge.
