Info
Cancer Bats land in Cardiff on October 21, 2026 at Clwb Ifor Bach for a set built on the no-frills clash that’s been their trademark since the mid-2000s Toronto hardcore scene. Expect a tight mix of hardcore punk speed, metal weight and sludge grit, driven by big, serrated riffs and Liam Cormier’s barked, near-screamed vocals. Since early records like Birthing the Giant and Hail Destroyer, the band have kept pushing that balance between raw aggression and rock’n’roll swing, digging into heavier, denser grooves while never losing the forward momentum.
With later releases sharpening the contrast between full-throttle blasts and more riff-led, head-down sections, this show is all about impact: fast tempos, hard stops, and those moments where the band drop into a mean, lurching rhythm before snapping back into chaos. Come for the pit energy, stay for the punchy songwriting and the road-tested precision.
