Info
Goat bring their masked, collective take on psychedelic rock to Cambridge Junction in Cambridge on 26 April 2027. Since breaking out in the early 2010s, the Swedish project has built a sound where distorted guitars lock into heavy percussion, with choral lines and a steady pulse that nods to afrobeat, funk, folk and krautrock repetition. Live, it leans into the band’s ritual side: long rhythmic builds, circling motifs, and that sense of a ceremony more than a standard rock set. Expect material that moves between the raw drive of their earlier releases and the more folk-tinged shades of later writing, without dropping the hypnotic groove that holds it all together.
Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs open the night, bringing a very different kind of trance: stoner metal and psych rock pushed through doom weight and noise abrasion. The Newcastle quintet work with thick, repetitive riffs, upfront drums, and vocals that cut through the fog, shifting between stretched-out tension and tighter, punchier bursts. Their recent run of records keeps the pressure high and the edges rough, setting up a heavy start to the evening in Cambridge.
