Célia Kameni, crowned at the Victoires du Jazz 2025, arrives at the Théâtre de la Manufacture in Nancy on October 14, 2026, with a deep, supple voice well suited to navigating between jazz, soul and a hybrid chanson repertoire. Trained in Lyon, she loves playing with timbre, phrasing, and the ebb and flow between writing and improvisation, and you can hear it as much in her collaborative projects as in her most personal repertoire. After collaborations that have taken her from big band to encounters such as Nu Genea, she champions the energy of her EP Méduse (2025), conceived with Yael Naim, where folk, pop and stage exploration rub shoulders without forcing it. Melissa Weikart, a Franco-American pianist and singer, opens the evening with intimate avant-pop, somewhere between jazz, folk and experimentation, driven by the dialogue between voice and piano. A graduate of the New England Conservatory in Boston, she plays oblique melodies, harmonies that diverge and spare arrangements, with a taste for subtle offsets that belong as much to song as to improvisation. In Nancy, on October 14, 2026, she also presents tracks from her records, Easy and Out of the Dark, in a format that lets silences breathe as much as the notes.
