On May 4, 2027, at the Train Théâtre in Portes-lès-Valence, Wolfgang Valbrun comes to present a soul laid bare, carried by a powerful and deeply embodied voice. Revealed in 2015, he has largely built his career over time, through live performances and collaborations, before stamping his mark with Lovesick (2020), an album where the tradition of great American soul rubs up against a more direct, contemporary writing, without overproduction.
In concert, he bets on the organic and the feel: an interpretation that seeks texture, tension, silences, and that tells as much of love as of fragility or resistance. Expect a dense set, centered on presence and voice, between a soulful heritage and a very personal energy, with this rapport to the audience that gives the impression of witnessing something living, here and now.
