Info
On 16 December 2026, Sam Shackleton brings his folk storm to Saint Luke's & The Winged Ox in Glasgow, riding the wave of the viral songs that have built him a serious touring following across the UK and the US. On stage, he doesn’t treat tradition like a museum piece: he grabs Scottish ballad singing by the collar, lets Irish and American old-time threads slip in, then twists it all with punk energy and a sharp instinct for storytelling.
Expect a set that can flip fast from raw, intimate ballads to full-room singalongs driven by clawhammer banjo and blasts of harmonica. Shackleton’s own songs sit naturally beside the classics, with lyrics that dig into memory, place, and the stuff people carry around but rarely say out loud. This Glasgow date is built for that close-quarters connection where a folk show turns into something shared, loud, and lived in.
