Info
Boko Yout return to Glasgow on 21 November 2026 for a show at Stereo, after a sold-out stop at The Glad Cafe earlier this year. Fronted by singer-songwriter Paul Adamah, the Swedish project has been carving out its own lane in the alt scene with a hybrid sound they’ve coined Afro-grunge: punk-funk snap, alt-rock guitars, and rhythms that keep mutating under a vocal performance built for tension and release.
Their tracks lean into repetition, sudden shifts in dynamics, and a physical, almost theatrical intensity, with lyrics circling identity, ego, and artistic freedom. Live, it’s less about standing still and more about building a space where gesture and movement matter as much as the riffs, pulling from Afro-diasporic references while keeping one foot in rock structures and another in funk and electronic pulse. Expect a set that hits hard, twists often, and stays locked in from start to finish.
