Info
GuitarMania 2027 lands at La Belle Angele in Edinburgh on 13 May 2027 with Krissy Matthews hosting a travelling guitar summit built on blues-rock energy and the kind of onstage chemistry that only happens when players push each other in real time. Matthews has been doing this for years, shaping the night as both bandleader and ringmaster, keeping things tight while leaving space for extended solos, sudden switches in feel, and those moments where the groove turns into a conversation.
Top of the bill is Eric Gales, the Memphis guitarist known for a style that folds blues, rock, funk and soul into a single, expressive line. Expect sharp phrasing, big dynamics and improvisation that can jump from deep-pocket rhythm to psychedelic edge without warning.
Also on the line-up: Eric Steckel, bringing a heavier, riff-led take on modern blues-rock, often built for power-trio impact and long instrumental stretches. With guests from the UK, the Netherlands, Iceland and Switzerland, GuitarMania plays like a passport stamp collection for anyone who still comes for the guitar first.
