Info
On November 6, 2026, at the Collège des Bernardins in Paris, Constantinople and A Filetta come together for Clair-Obscur, a project born of a genuine desire for dialogue between two traditions that seem to oppose everything. On one side, the Corsican polyphonies of A Filetta, a flagship ensemble, with their tightly woven vocal lines, their raw power and their nuances, between melancholy and collective momentum. On the other, the universe of Constantinople, carried by composer and setar player Kiya Tabassian, where modality and the art of ornament open spaces for playing and listening.
Rather than a mere crossing, Clair-Obscur takes the form of a musical and poetic suite: polyphonies written and performed by the singers of A Filetta intertwine with songs and pieces composed and orchestrated by Kiya Tabassian. We move from a bare choir to finer instrumental textures, with this common thread: the same attention to timbre, breath, and transmission. A concert conceived as a crossing, between sea and mountains, between Corsica and Persia, closest to the voices.
