Info
Almost 37 years have passed since the Cologne-based alternative and post-punk band Escape with Romeo first formed. Yet that's no reason for nostalgia, as the 13th studio album, Night After Night, proves. While the November 2024-released LP Suspicious Bliss was still the result of a musical reorientation, the new work takes that step further. In an era when it is no longer about specific genres but about emotional impact, the album, which will be released in late summer 2026, can be stylistically placed between post-punk, electronics, trip hop, and post-rock. Escape with Romeo, now performing live as a trio, channel here their idea of post-punk and dark wave without resorting to clichés.
In the 2026 live performances at Hafenklang in Hamburg, the band will play selected tracks from the current album as well as a journey through the group's long history.
