Prix Marcel Duchamp 2026

For its 2026 edition, the Marcel Duchamp Prize is hosted for the second time at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, in partnership with the Centre Pompidou. The exhibition of the 2026 nominees is presented under the curatorship of Odile Burluraux and Nicolas Liucci-Goutnikov.

Since its creation in 2000 by ADIAF, the Marcel Duchamp Prize has distinguished numerous artists who have become prominent figures on the international scene. The renovation work on the Centre Pompidou’s historic building required locating a venue in a constellation of sites. Thus, the Marcel Duchamp Prize exhibitions will take place at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris through 2029.

Organised from the outset in partnership with the Centre Pompidou, endowed with 90,000 euros, of which 35,000 euros go to the winning artist, the Marcel Duchamp Prize is a benchmark prize in the world of contemporary art.

The four nominees for the Marcel Duchamp Prize 2026 are:

- Joël Andrianomearisoa, born in 1977 in Antananarivo (Madagascar). Represented by Almine Rech (Paris), Primo Marella (Milan) and Sabrina Amrani (Madrid).
- Brognon Rollin, born in 1978 in Messancy (Belgium) and born in 1980 in Luxembourg (Luxembourg). Represented by MFC Michèle Didier (Paris).
- Laura Henno, born in 1976 in Croix. Represented by Galerie Nathalie Obadia (Paris).
- Josèfa Ntjam, born in 1992 in Metz. Represented by Nicoletti Contemporary (London).

The Marcel Duchamp Prize is a comprehensive program to support artists. ADIAF has thus organized 50 exhibitions on the French scene around the prize’s nominees and laureates, including around twenty internationally with the support of the Institut français. Residencies are also offered to nominated artists through partnerships formed by ADIAF, in France with Sèvres - Manufacture et Musées nationaux and in the United States with Villa Albertine.

For 2026, the four nominees, Joël Andrianomearisoa, Brognon Rollin, Laura Henno and Josèfa Ntjam, present their works in a dedicated exhibition within the collections of the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, from 2 October 2026 to 7 February 2027.

The announcement of the winner of the 2026 edition will take place on Thursday 22 October 2026, during Paris Art Week, at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris. The international jury is composed of directors of artistic institutions, collectors and two artists.
