The Expeditions series was founded in the spring of 2018 with the vision of breaking out of the monotony that characterizes most pure techno nights in Berlin. The concept is to create a clear musical distinction between the different parts of the night. We strive to establish a clear beginning and a definite end.
The main focus of the Expeditions at ://about blank lies in the classical and traditional aspects of techno: from the Detroit groove to hypnotic and atmospheric storytelling. This is complemented by contemporary interpretations of the genre. Techno is understood as a journey designed for the dance floor rather than for podcasts. If you stop moving, you start dying, and therefore energy and movement are the common denominator of all Expeditions events and curations.
What you can expect:
- Power Deck: curated interpretations of classic techno music, from Detroit groove to hypnotic and atmospheric beats. No minimalism, no complicated sermons.
- Speed Deck: young, fresh, trancey contemporary interpretations of techno.
- DJs at eye level and a musically educated audience.
