This is Techno Jazz with Fabrizio Rat

This is Techno Jazz returns to the Kantine at Berghain and brings to Berlin the live set of one of the pioneers of this crossover, Fabrizio Rat, as well as the presentation of Resonances (IT)'s new album Orient Express, which will be released in October on Jazz-O-Tech. Throughout the night, the DJ sets by Do You Know Juno, Mattia Prete and Misloop will guide the evening.

Fabrizio Rat (Live) – composer, pianist and producer who translates the piano into hypnotic techno and, with his solo project La Machina, explores the boundary between human and machine, acoustic and electronic sound. He performs in Europe, South America and Japan, with releases on labels such as Bureau B, Optimo and Raster and a commission from IRCAM/Centre Pompidou for 2026.

The project of Italian producer Leonardo Biscioni fuses classical music theory with hardware-based techno. Releasing on Truncate, Nechto and KMS. The show at the Kantine am Berghain celebrates the release of Orient Express, his new Jazz-O-Tech album, a fusion of jazz techno with influences from Arabic and Indian music, conceived as a train journey through changing landscapes.

Do You Know Juno (DJ Set) blends jazz, disco and house into narrative sets and curates in Berlin the parties Jazz on Toast and Burnin' to Blue.

Mattia Prete (DJ Set) is a Berlin-based DJ, producer and label manager, whose musical vision brings together the discipline of club culture and the expressive freedom of jazz. His work as A&R and curator has found expression in the double compilation and the eponymous party This is Techno Jazz, a project that fosters a dialogue between techno and jazz.

Misloop (DJ Set) is Jin Xue, a DJ born in Tianjin whose relationship with the dancefloor began in 2005 and took shape in Shanghai's club scene. Now based in Berlin, Misloop draws on hypnotic techno, UK bass and breaks. Her selections move between styles and rely on rhythm, dynamics and an energetic dancefloor.

Jazz-O-Tech is a label that draws on the heritage of jazz and techno. By bringing together tradition and modernity, improvisation and experimentation, a new sound emerges: techno-jazz.
