Poly-Rythmo Club returns to La Paloma’s dance floor to light up the night for the season’s return, with a selection of disco, house and global groove sounds.
For this edition we bring together key figures from the scene:
- Mafalda (PT-UK / Melodies International)
A DJ and radio host of Portuguese origin based in London. She is cofounder of the Melodies International label (together with Floating Points). Mafalda is known for her luminous and emotive sets that naturally travel between soul, Brazilian rarities, disco and house, with an ability to connect with the floor through warmth, sensitivity and love. Her show “Tropic of Love” on NTS has followers worldwide, and her booth has hosted references of the rare groove and carefully curated music.
- Melvo Baptiste (UK / Glitterbox)
Raised in a family of collectors and dancers, and influenced by his uncle Norman Jay, the DJ and broadcaster is today the face of Glitterbox. With broad knowledge of rare groove, soul, funk, disco and contemporary house, Melvo has brought his energy to booths such as Hï Ibiza, Ministry of Sound or Printworks. He makes his first appearance at La Paloma to unfold his savoir-faire on the floor.
- Sonido Tupinamba (BCN - Poly-Rythmo Club)
The host and founder of Poly-Rythmo Club will warm up the floor by wielding her background of tropical gems, disco, Afrobeat and color-filled house, with rhythm, freshness and connection on the floor.
