On December 1, 2026, Gang of Youths land in Manchester for a night at Albert Hall built for big, story-driven songs. Formed in Sydney around singer and main songwriter David Le’aupepe, the band has a way of stretching alternative rock into something room-filling: guitars and piano at the core, then strings and keys widening the frame when the emotion needs more space.
Since The Positions and the breakthrough run of Go Farther in Lightness, their shows have leaned into long arcs and dense arrangements rather than quick hits. With Tom Hobden adding violin and keyboards, the more orchestral side of Angel in Realtime-era material takes on extra weight live, blending rock tension with folk and chamber touches. Expect a set that moves between intimacy and scale, carried by Le’aupepe’s narrative writing and a band that knows how to let a chorus breathe without losing the pulse.
