On January 28, 2027, Alestorm drop anchor at Rock City in Nottingham for a night built on riffs, choruses made to be shouted, and their now-classic pirate-metal lore. Born in the mid-2000s in Scotland under the name Battleheart, the band quickly locked into a formula that’s all theirs: power metal speed, folk touches, big singalongs and a sense of humor that never kills the punch of the songs. Since Captain Morgan’s Revenge (2008) and Black Sails at Midnight (2009), they’ve been turning sea battles, treasure hunts and drunken tales into tight, crowd-first anthems.
With albums like No Grave But the Sea (2017), Curse of the Crystal Coconut (2020) and Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum (2022), Alestorm kept pushing the same party-ready energy, adding more keyboards, choirs and hooks without losing the blast-beat drive. Expect a set that moves fast, hits hard, and leaves plenty of space for the audience to do half the work.
