Info
The Mary Wallopers bring their rowdy Dundalk-born folk to Toronto on March 13, 2027 at History. Built around brothers Charles and Andrew Hendy alongside Sean McKenna, the band first made its name as an acoustic trio turning Irish ballads inside smoky pub rooms into singalong moments. Their sound sits right between trad and punkish energy: guitars and banjo up front, chorused voices, tavern airs, and lyrics that trade in everyday stories, social snapshots, and a dry sense of humour.
From DIY sessions and homemade videos to packed tours across Ireland, the UK and Europe, they’ve kept that close-to-the-floor vibe even as the live lineup grew. After the early EP A Mouthful of The Mary Wallopers (2019), they pushed further with The Mary Wallopers (2022) and Irish Rock ’n’ Roll (2023), mixing reworked traditional songs with originals that feel just as lived-in. Expect a set made for shouting the chorus back.
