AJJ bring their sharp-edged folk-punk to Toronto on October 11, 2026 at The Mod Club, with support from Greet Death. Born in Phoenix and long known as Andrew Jackson Jihad before shortening the name, the band built its identity around Sean Bonnette’s plainspoken, quick-to-the-bone writing and a sound that started out raw and acoustic, then kept widening.
Over the years, AJJ have stretched their anti-folk roots into something roomier: indie rock dynamics, fuller band arrangements, and occasional left-field touches that never dilute the urgency. Whether you came in through People Who Can Eat People Are the Luckiest People in the World, the punch of Knife Man, or the later turns of The Bible 2 and Disposable Everything, the thread stays the same: songs that move fast, hit close, and leave little space for pretending.
