Three years after its last release, Haken is back and opens a new chapter with the single 'In a Fever Dream'. The London-based progressive metal band continues to alternate between technical precision and more emotion-driven passages, where intricate tempo changes, melodic vocal lines, and grand keyboard arrangements coexist without anything feeling overloaded.
Since forming in 2007, Haken has built its own world in the borderlands between progressive rock and metal, with long song structures and a clear sense of storytelling. Albums such as Aquarius, Visions, and The Mountain laid the groundwork, and later releases such as Affinity, Vector/Virus, and Fauna have shown how the band can crank up both heaviness and detail without losing focus.
On 12 October 2026, Haken will perform at Debaser Strand in Stockholm with a setlist that blends new material with nods to a catalog that has left clear marks on modern prog metal.
