This quintet arrives with three guitars and five harmonised voices, delivering a power pop the city hadn’t heard in years.
Born in early 2021, the band wrote and rehearsed between two lockdowns to give birth to a blend of power pop and rock ’n’ roll, as sly as it is punchy.
Their sound blends the sing-along sensibility of The Nerves, the guitar duels of Thin Lizzy, and the minor-key chords of the Flamin’ Groovies (latest incarnation), all propelled by the power of the Ramones and the raw energy of the Angels (the “Face to Face” era) or the early Divinyls. Their influences jump out at you, notably on their cover of “Fighting My Way Back,” a forgotten 1979 power pop gem signed by the British group The Incredible Kidda Band.

Brower is a force of nature in rock ’n’ roll, straight from New York. Made up of members from the Josephine Network, Dirty Fences, Hershguy Band, SUO, Nancy and Metalleg, this quartet delivers a rock ’n’ roll performance in the vein of acts such as Status Quo, Thin Lizzy, Cheap Trick, or the Beatles.

Roberta Lips is four girls, sweet pop melodies and garage energy. Catchy melodies and punchy instrumentation. The band draws its influences from 70s garage (The Runaways, Nikki and the Corvettes) through riot grrrl (Bikini Kill) and 90s indie pop (Los Fresones Rebeldes, Vacaciones).
On stage, the set is sculpted, instinctive and unfussy. With an assured innocence, the four Parisians never apologise for being loud and string the tracks like pearls on a necklace.
