Baauer returns for a date at Newspeak, in Montreal, on October 31, 2026. Born in Philadelphia under the name Harry Bauer Rodrigues and having spent time in Germany, London, and New York, he emerged in the early 2010s with electronic music that blends trap, hip-hop, grime, and bass music. His sound, often built on dry rhythms, pounding bass and well-placed vocal samples, took him out of the club circuit when 'Harlem Shake' became a viral phenomenon.
Since then, Baauer has broadened his palette on projects such as Aa or Planet's Mad, where he pushes blending and collaborations further. Between productions tailored for the dancefloor, international influences and a knack for effective breaks, his set promises a constant back-and-forth between raw energy and studio precision.
