Following the success of her 2024 album OSMIN, singer and rapper Zinée once again channels her quiet, artistic strength in a new EP titled BIL, a symbol of a healthy rebirth and a salutary change of direction.
Seven tracks, imbued with the humanity that defines her, see her wipe the slate clean, shed the weights that have sometimes restrained her desire to create, and free herself, both musically and personally. To perfect BIL, Zinée surrounded herself with a small and benevolent team, three talented musicians who are also her friends: the Canadian pianist and all-rounder Chilly Gonzales, the beatmaker Freaky Joe (SCH, Djadja & Dinaz, SDM, Kekra...), and the producer Empty7, known for his solo projects and his work with rapper Django.
From this dynamic—free of pressure, free of misplaced egos and free of negativity—emerged music that oscillates between darkness and sun-drenched sonorities, between memories and a resolve to move forward at all costs. Zinée deftly embraces the obstacles, delves back into childhood and nostalgia to draw inspiration, indeed, but also this quest for happiness that drives her.
