On December 4, 2026, Acid Pauli sets up shop in Nice, at 109, for REF Session #18. Behind this alias stands Martin Gretschmann, a figure in German independent electronic music, also known for Console, The Notwist and 13 & God. In the club, he moves in his own way, between minimal techno, slow house, ambient and psychedelic detours, with a pronounced taste for sample collages, chopped voices and organic textures.
With Acid Pauli, no set is simply copied from one date to the next. He builds over time, improvises, deconstructs, stretches the build-ups, then veers where one does not expect. It makes people dance, but it tells a story above all: a patient progression, repetitive rhythms, sonic details that appear and disappear, and this way of turning the dancefloor into a listening space as much as a playground. A free, narrative format, far from mechanical transitions, designed for those who enjoy letting themselves be carried away.
