Born in Vienna and based between Brighton and Manchester, salute has become a name in its own right in today’s club music, with emotive writing and a firm footing in British club culture. As a DJ and producer, salute moves through UK garage, grime, dubstep and house with ease, alternating moments of melodic warmth and driving rhythmic intensity, always attuned to the energy of the sound system and the dynamics of the dancefloor.
In the latest album, TRUE MAGIC, salute draws on the imagery of old Japanese car advertisements and VHS aesthetics to speak of impulse and movement. The approach is pop in the construction of the tracks, but without losing the club’s physicality: elastic basslines, tense breaks and hooks that linger. It’s also an album that treats collaboration as a creative engine, privileging the shared process over solitary work.
After having left its mark in 2023, salute returns to Plano B Club in Porto on 10 October 2026 for another night of pushing genre boundaries and linking the dancefloor into a single flow.
