Friko arrives in Oviedo on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 to perform live its art-rock with a pop edge. Born in Chicago's indie scene, the project of Niko Kapetan and Bailey Minzenberger plays with contrasts: songs that start from the intimate, with restrained melodies and piano in the foreground, and that suddenly unfold into rougher guitars, tempo changes, and moments close to noise or post-rock without losing the hook.
In concert, Friko operates as a band that stretches and tightens its songs, alternating fragility and tension, always seeking that rise-and-fall dynamic that keeps you engaged. Their first album, Where We've Been, Where We Go from Here (2024), broadens the approach with more ambitious arrangements and songwriting that moves between ballad and electric punch.
