Dance Gavin Dance heads to Paris on August 31, 2026, at Le Trabendo. Formed in Sacramento in 2005, the band has built its sound on a blend that refuses to choose: experimental rock, funk and R&B touches, math rock, psychedelic flourishes, and a strong sense of melody. Its signature is the constant alternation between clean singing and screams, with songs featuring fragmented structures, plenty of tempo changes, and melodies that keep coming back to haunt you. Driven by Will Swan's highly recognizable guitar work and Jon Mess's presence, Dance Gavin Dance has weathered several eras and vocal shifts before finding stability over the years, releasing albums and touring. On stage, the band delivers a tight, precise, high-energy set, capable of moving from ultra-technical passages to a pop-inflected ascent without warning.
