In a UK exclusive, Vybz Kartel and Mavado bring their mythic Gaza vs Gully face-off back to the stage at The O2 in London on 9 September 2026. Eighteen years after their last shared show, the two Jamaican heavyweights meet again where sharp lyrics, digital riddims and raw charisma do the talking.
Vybz Kartel, born Adidja Palmer in Kingston, built his legend in the 2000s with an ultra-productive run of hits and an unmistakable phrasing, moving between party anthems, clash-ready tracks and more melodic cuts. From the Portmore Empire era to later records, his catalogue has kept shaping modern dancehall, driven by hooks and that restless, fast-evolving energy.
Mavado, aka David Constantine Brooks, came up around the same time with a darker, more sung approach, tense storytelling and choruses that stick. Known for balancing grit and melody, he’s been bridging Jamaica and the UK/US scenes for years, without losing that street-level dancehall edge. Here, the old rivalry turns into a shared celebration of dancehall and Caribbean culture.
