This intimate conviction, Yvan Cassar has acquired over more than 15 years during which he accompanied Johnny as musical director. It constitutes the starting point of a singular project entrusted to him: to restore all the strength and emotion of Johnny Hallyday's voice as it resonated in concert, while offering it the sonic cradle that studio recordings allow.

From this ambition arise two albums: in 2019, Johnny, then in 2021 Act II. Both are based on an original principle: preserving Johnny Hallyday's live vocal takes and magnifying them with new arrangements, sometimes symphonic, sometimes deliberately stripped down. A faithful homage to the artist, with the intensity that only the stage could reveal.

In May 2022, Johnny Symphonique hit the road for a first tour of twenty dates. Under Yvan Cassar's direction, more than one hundred musicians, a choir and a visual creation accompany Johnny's voice, reproduced on three giant screens. The classics regain their breath: Diego, libre dans sa tête, L’Envie, Allumer le feu, Que je t’aime, but also Marie, Sang pour sang or Je te promets. A new series of concerts is programmed for spring 2024, enriched with new titles including Gabrielle, Noir c’est noir or the rhythm and blues medley imagined by Johnny in the sixties.

In 2027, as the public prepares to commemorate the ten-year anniversary of Johnny Hallyday's passing, Johnny Symphonique opens a new chapter.

From November 10, 2027, the Johnny Symphonique Tour will resume for 23 dates across France up to March 2028, notably at Le Zénith Toulouse Métropole. Still under the direction of Yvan Cassar, it will continue to make heard this voice, carried by the power of a symphonic orchestra and a staged production. This new tour will offer new musical tableaux, an enriched repertoire and several guests who will come to share in this celebration.
