September 5, 2026, Ratboys lands at Downstairs At The Dome in London for a live show that will showcase what has defined them since their Chicago beginnings: direct songwriting, hooky guitars, and that distinctive way they balance intimacy with the energy of a band.
Led by vocalist and guitarist Julia Steiner, with Dave Sagan on guitar, the project has slid from six-string folk toward a denser indie rock, where emo-tinged reflections, power-pop choruses, and alt-country detours cross paths. On stage, this blend takes on a very vivid form: it can begin in chiaroscuro, then electrify without warning, propelled by a rhythm section that tightens everything. From AOID’s early steps to the more nerve-tinged drive of Printer’s Devil, to the tracks on The Window, Ratboys cultivates a precise, narrative musicality, and a gentle tension that rests as much on the voice as on the guitars. Special guests complete the lineup.
