Timeless is a word that is frequently used in music criticism, but Dagmar Zuniga is one of those cases where the descriptor is fully justified. Her debut album, 'in filth your mystery is kingdom / far smile peasant in yellow', exists entirely outside of time, suspended between eras, styles, and generations. Recorded over five years in various locations, the record is a nomadic and dreamlike journey that traverses bedroom psychedelia, outsider folk, and experimental collage. By combining familiar and comforting sounds with strange textures and unconventional compositional structures, her music feels like a portal to her private universe.
