T!LT: Steve Wynn (Dream Syndicate), Chris Cacavas

Steve Wynn, leader and founder of the Dream Syndicate, will be touring Italy, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom in November alongside Chris Cacavas, former member of Green on Red. Wynn will bring his “Plays ’Em All” tour, drawing on his entire career and his various projects, including Miracle Three, Dream Syndicate, The Baseball Project, Gutterball, Danny & Dusty and Hazel Motes. Wynn has been touring Europe for over 40 years, and his show will draw from a large portion of his more than 40 albums.

Accompanying him will be Chris Cacavas, on the occasion of the release of a new six-CD box set of Green on Red. Chris will perform solo tracks from across his career, and at the end of the evening the two will join on stage to play together. Wynn will bring with him a new live album, recorded during his last Italian tour, in addition to his most recent studio album “Make It Right,” released by Fire Records. In the first of his two dates in the United Kingdom, Steve Wynn will perform at the Americana UK festival in Liverpool, which marks its 25th anniversary, alongside Chuck Prophet.

The Spanish memoir traces Wynn’s journey: from a music-loving boy and preadolescent band leader in Los Angeles to the formation and dissolution of the Dream Syndicate at the end of their first era, in 1988. Along the way there are stories of bus trips across the United States in search of Alex Chilton, of wild and out-of-control tours with U2 and R.E.M., of the troubled recording of the band’s second album, Medicine Show, and much more. The album is a reflective and intimately revealing collection, written and recorded in parallel with the writing of “I Wouldn’t Say It If It Wasn’t True.”
