Maverick Sabre returns to the stage in London on December 17, 2026, at the O2 Academy Brixton. Born between Hackney and County Wexford, Michael Stafford built an identity straddling Ireland and the British capital, with that husky yet supple voice that is recognizable within a few bars. In his music, soul and contemporary R&B rub shoulders with hip-hop, with reggae-tinged nods, both in the rhythms and in the way he places the words, between singing and rap phrasing.
Spotted in the late 2000s and quickly established at the heart of grime and urban-pop scenes through collaborations (Professor Green, Chase & Status), he then solidified his signature across a series of albums that trace his evolution: Lonely Are the Brave, Innerstanding, When I Wake Up, Don’t Forget to Look Up, then Burn the Right Things Down. A live show tailored for catchy refrains, round basslines and more stripped-down moments, when the song takes centre stage.
