On March 17, 2027, Kaleo stops at La Fabrique, in Milan, with the Way Down We Go Tour. Formed near Reykjavik in 2012, the Icelandic band has carved out a distinctive place by linking blues rock, folk and alternative rock, with a taste for contrast: tightly wound electric riffs, acoustic breaths, and a tension that eases off just when needed. At the center is the voice of Jökull “JJ Julius Son” Júlíusson, singer and guitarist, who leads the show, surrounded by Davíð Antonsson, Daníel Kristjánsson and Rubin Pollock. After a first album released in Iceland, Kaleo moves to the United States and refines a sound more rooted in American roots, between raw energy and leaner writing. From A/B to Surface Sounds, the band navigates between tense tracks and ballads, without losing its rock anchor. On stage, this dynamic comes into full force, driven by a very direct performance and sharply defined build-ups.
