Kaleo heads to Vienna’s Raiffeisen Halle on March 26, 2027 with its 'Way Down We Go Tour'. Formed near Reykjavik in 2012, the Icelandic band has carved out an identity at the crossroads of blues rock, folk and alternative rock, with a real taste for contrasts: edgy riffs on one side, acoustic passages on the other, and that tension that rises and then falls without warning.
At the center is the voice of Jökull “JJ Julius Son” Júlíusson, the singer and guitarist, capable of moving from fragility to frontal impact in just a few measures. Surrounding him, notably, are Davíð Antonsson, Daníel Kristjánsson and Rubin Pollock. Kaleo first cut its teeth in Iceland before moving to the United States, where their writing drew on American sounds, between rock roots, soulful touches and more airy melodies. On stage, their playing field remains the same: songs that move forward with surgical precision, powered by the band's energy and a dynamic always in motion.
