Info
Saxon returns to the stage on February 16, 2027 at the Telegraph Building in Belfast, with this English heavy metal built on tight riffs, solid tempos and a knack for choruses that has never left the band. Led from the start by vocalist Biff Byford, Saxon established themselves from the late 1970s to the early 1980s with a string of albums that defined their signature: Saxon, Wheels of Steel, Strong Arm of the Law, Denim and Leather. They are direct songs rooted in imagery of the road, engines, war stories, and a no-frills daily life. Over the decades, despite lineup changes, the band has remained faithful to melodic heavy metal, sometimes faster, always tight, as on Power and the Glory, Crusader, or Solid Ball of Rock. And Saxon has not slowed down in the 21st century: Lionheart, Sacrifice, Thunderbolt, Carpe Diem, followed by Hell, Fire and Damnation, continuing a steady discography. On stage, it’s down to the bone: a set designed to alternate classics and recent tracks, with the efficiency of a band that still lives by the live performance.
