Turnover returns to the stage on March 17, 2027 at the New Century in Manchester, with their distinctive blend of emo, indie rock and dream pop. Born in Virginia Beach around Austin Getz, his brother Casey and bassist Danny Dempsey, the band first made a name for itself with a front-facing pop-punk/emo energy, before veering toward more expansive formats and hushed atmospheres. From the raw energy of Magnolia to the turning point of Peripheral Vision, Turnover gradually slowed the tempo, thickened textures and left more room for hazy guitars and melodies that linger. The follow-up releases, from Good Nature to Altogether, and then Myself in the Way, continue to explore a softer pop-rock sound, without losing their taste for introspective writing. On stage, this journey translates into a set that plays on contrasts: the drive of the early days, the misty softness of the more recent tracks, and the melodic thread that ties it all together.
